Automatic Batching of Refractory Materials The batching of monolithic refractory materials is a crucial part of the production process of bulk refractory materials. Batching determines the quality of the product. Early batching systems had problems in automated feeding and metering due to limitations in technology and equipment. The production process lacked effective monitoring, resulting in low production efficiency, high labor intensity, dust pollution, and inconsistent product quality. With increasing environmental standards, rising labor costs, and higher quality standards, combined with existing process equipment conditions, the existing process equipment and facilities have been optimized and upgraded through reasonable setting of automatic feeding systems, linkage metering, and full-process dust removal and sealing. This reduces labor intensity, meets relevant environmental protection standards, and effectively improves production efficiency and product quality.

Objectives of the Automatic Batching System Upgrade
The objective of upgrading the automatic batching system is to ensure product quality, accurate batching measurement accuracy, reduce batching measurement errors, continuously improve production efficiency, effectively combine batching technology with PLC technology, and use cables and Ethernet to connect each batching system to achieve automated production and more scientific management. After the upgrade of the automatic batching system, the following effects should be achieved: ① Real-time data collection and analysis, monitoring and management capabilities, and automated uninterrupted production; ② Batch production of different formulas on the entire production line; ③ Design of material supply, weighing, unloading, and warning operations during the batching process; ④ Reduction of dust pollution in the workshop and improvement of the working environment.
For Monolithic Automatic Batching of Refractory Materials System Upgrade Design and Specific Measures
3.1 Hardware Upgrade of the Automatic Batching System
In order to achieve the above process requirements and make reasonable use of the existing material warehouses and mixers, the existing monolithic refractory material batching equipment is upgraded. The raw material warehouse, mixer, and feeding machine in the existing batching system are retained, and weighing hoppers and conveyor belts are added. The original production line is upgraded in sections, divided into three short, fast automatic batching lines to meet the needs of batch production of each variety and product. Fully enclosed conveyor belts are used, and dust removal devices are installed at each material supply and unloading port, connected to the original dust removal system to reduce dust pollution.
After the production line is upgraded, multiple varieties can be produced simultaneously without affecting each other, thus improving production efficiency.
3.2 Control System Upgrade of the Automatic Batching System
⑴ A control cabinet capable of overall control is required. The main control cabinet uses Ethernet to connect to the operating station, first connecting to the mixer control machine of the operating station, and then equipping the mixer control machine with a touch screen and operating button switches. This allows the upgraded batching system to both receive instructions from the main control cabinet and be operated by operators through the touch screen and button switches.
